Operating performance

Find where value stops becoming profit.

A focused diagnostic for owners and managers whose business is working harder than the result suggests.

When the numbers show a problem, but not its cause

Revenue may be growing while margin is not. Overtime rises without more completed work. Managers spend their time rescuing routine operations. Customers still receive what they ordered, but only after an unreasonable amount of chasing.

These are signals, not diagnoses. Cutting the most visible cost can make the real problem worse. The diagnostic follows selected evidence and real examples to find where losses arise, how they build up and which ones are large enough to deserve attention.

What the diagnostic examines

We agree the business area and the decision the diagnostic must support. Interviews, records and recent cases are then used together so that one plausible story does not quietly become the answer.

  • Where time, money, capacity or customer value is being lost
  • Which explanations are supported, weakened or still uncertain
  • The likely operational and financial effect without manufactured savings
  • Which findings you can act on, and what further evidence may be needed

What you receive

You finish with a clearer view of where meaningful losses or inefficiencies are accumulating, what the evidence supports and which issues deserve attention first. The report, findings briefing and practical recommended action path distinguish firm findings from estimates and assumptions, giving you a sounder basis for deciding what to act on, what to investigate further and what not to spend effort on.

The diagnostic is valuable on its own. You may act with your own people, request a separate implementation proposal, obtain further evidence or decide that a suspected leak is too small to chase.

How the scope is set

We start with what you want to be different when the work is finished. From there, we determine what can realistically be accomplished, what the work should cover, and the investment before we begin.

A focused remote diagnostic can often be completed within one to two weeks after the agreed material is received and the relevant people are available. Wider, multi-site, on-site or implementation work is agreed separately.
